Today, I began my 30Poems in 30Days

Hi everyone
I am off on another writing adventure this week.
I am taking part in a local 30Poems in 30Days challenge, which is a fundraiser for an organization in Western Massachusetts that provides free services and support for immigrant families.
I have 17 people from my various online networks who are pledging a small amount of money per poem that I write. (Would you like to be a sponsor? There's still room. Use my Google Form.)
I've put all of my sponsors on a Google Map, too.


Day One:

I'm plunging into poetry:
here, you hold my gear
while I extend my fingers
into the deep recess of my mind
where I'll try to ferret out some treasure
amidst the chaos
and turn it into words.
