OMG, WTWP, These posts had me howlin'! I can see that EAP has been having such a scandalicious time in Tennessee, that we'uns in California have a tough act to follow. You set the bar high; the challenge is on! :^} Central CA Writing Project

Cynthia - your posting could have been mine! Ditto to all the above! As for a concurrent online space, we're going with a ning this year. I'm marketing the ning as a "sheltered" Facebook, so that teachers who feel marginalized because they don't kn…

Natalie,
I started a new blog, for which I will put a widget below. In fact, judging from the comment below, I am wondering if you inspired Kevin with the last post he did on my blog about cyber safety.

Anyway...today's post advertises a COOLEST CLASSROOM CONTEST. Spread the news around if you'd like.

Also, if you want to write for my blog (I have writers from multiple states and 2 countries), you should do so. Just sign up and I will change your status to author.

Hi Natalie
I am going to respond to your question about posting the link to a web comic here because I figure I might as well use this comment wall for something, right?

Anyway, you asked how to share a link with all of us.

My suggestion is that you create a blog post within your page here (there should be a link to do that and if not, click on the tab above your pic that says My Page and then find the link).

When you publish a blog post, it not only posts to your homepage but also to the homepage of the site for everyone to see and respond to.

I hope that helps. I look forward to seeing the comic (I love comics).

My neck of the woods is rich in gold mining history and lore. They might want to start with a visit a visit to Coloma, just below Placerville, followed by a trip to the historic Placerville Hardware Store, where they can pick up panning supplies.

What's the best way to start planning the 2007 Outsiders cross-project theme? I think if you and I start the conversation this month, we can bring in the teachers next month, so we're really up and running at the start of the school year.

Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction - area of emphasis is Research Methods.

Advice for the future speech-language pathologist: have a passion for helping to change people's lives, do it because you want to help people not because you want to get a job, have a strong and disciplined work ethic, prioritize and figure out what is important (service work is great but not without great grades - get the foundation first, then worry about the extras), ask questions, read widely, and have fun.

Whoa - dissertation is a while away since I"m working on the degree part-time so I can continue working! I think deciding on a topic for the dissertation may be the most challenging aspect of the process for me!

Doesn't seem like two years since Tech Matters, does it? I have my own classroom now - 1st grade. Quite an experience last year with 11 out of 23 ESL students, two without any English. Sometime in the morning half of my class walked out the door!

Can't wait to start putting together a new project, Nat! To not be computer-lab dependent will make a huge difference. Yippee!!!

Nat,

My life is quite busy - thanks so much for asking! I'm pursuing a doctoral degree (finally) so going to school part - time, doing some research, writing project, and teaching still. I've become very efficient....

How are you?
