Exploring writing, teaching and technology

Howdy Friends -

Do you think "someone" could set-up a place where teachers can go to find pen pals? Maybe we would sign-up by state and grade and go from there. I have been beating the bushes, but I am struggling to find a pen pals that would actually write. (grin) I would like to try and collaborate with technology as well. Come on ... any takers? Juanita

First, I am on board with my kids. We'll work out the logistics (I sent you an email)
But, as to your suggestion, I wonder what the best format would be for such an endeavor? I know there are pen pal sites out there, but if you are thinking connecting within NWP networks, maybe a wiki?
Anyone?

I was hoping for NWP folks - kindred spirits if you will. (grin) I am trying to get more technology into our classroom, so I am all over the idea of a wiki. I have tried Wiki Site and PB Works. I find Works is better for collabrative projects and Sites is better for blogging.

Wonder if there is a NWP tech person who could establish a pen pal site for the project? I have found that students of all ages, even college, can benefit from a pen pal. Just a thought. Later, Juanita
